Chef Takashi Murayama

A calm, pleasant, helpful and hardworking individual who has a passion for great food and enjoys cooking mouthwatering dishes. In willing to remain his expertise as Sushi Japanese Traditional Cuisine and Japanese Fusion, and has proven great track record with 30 years of experiences, Chef Takashi joined JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya, as Executive Japanese Chef at Imari Japanese Restaurant.  His humble personal although experienced cooked for many VIPs, Ministers, The Royal Family of Japan and regularly for The Johor Royal Family made him a perfect man to lead his team and achieve The Best Japanese Restaurant by Indonesian Tatler 2010, 2014, and 2019. Chef Takashi also able to converse well in English, Malaysia, and Indonesia, which gave him the advantage to meet Imari's guest and became famous in a short way. His dedication to Traditional Japanese Food, and his modern soul encourage him to always create innovative seasonal menus for both sides.
